    个人简介
    谭铁牛,研究员,博士生导师。1984年获西安交通大学学士学位,1986年和1989年分别获英国帝国理工学院硕士与博士学位。1989-1997年在英国雷丁大学计算机沙巴体育系工作任教。1998年回国到中科院自动化所工作,历任该所所长助理、所长、模式识别国家重点实验室主任、沙巴体育app官网副秘书长、沙巴体育app官网副院长。现为中央人民政府驻香港特别行政区联络办公室副主任、智能感知与计算研究中心主任。2013年当选沙巴体育app官网院士、2014年当选英国皇家工程院外籍院士和发展中国家沙巴体育院(TWAS)院士,2016年当选巴西沙巴体育院通讯院士。
    谭铁牛博士主要从事图像处理、计算机视觉和模式识别等相关领域的研究工作,目前的研究主要集中在生物特征识别、图像视频理解和信息内容安全等三个方向。他主持过一批由国家基金委、国家杰出青年基金、国家973计划、863计划、国际合作计划等资助的科研项目。现已出版编(专)著14部并在主要的国内外学术期刊和国际学术会议上发表论文600多篇,获准和申请发明专利100多项。他现为中国人工智能学会副理事长、中国图象图形学学会理事长。现为或曾为国际权威期刊《IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence》、《IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering》、《IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security》、《IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology》、《Pattern Recognition》、《Pattern Recognition Letters》等国际学术刊物的编委、《自动化学报》和《International Journal of Automation and Computing》主编。他曾为IEEE生物识别理事会主席,是电子电气工程师学会(IEEE)的Fellow、国际模式识别学会(IAPR)的Fellow、IAPR-IEEE国际生物识别学术会议(ICB)创始主席(Founding Chair)、亚洲模式识别学术会议(ACPR)创始主席、国际模式识别学会生物识别技术委员会创始主席。他曾获中国青年五四奖章、中国青年科技奖以及国家自然沙巴体育二等奖、国家技术发明二等奖和国家科技进步二等奖各1项。
